Car Seat Inspection Appointments

IMPORTANT INFORMATION. PLEASE READ.

Our trained technicians will teach you how to ensure your car seat is used and installed correctly. Appointments are required for both car seat inspection locations. If you need assistance obtaining a car seat, we have resources available to assist you. We do ask for a small donation from the recipient to be applied toward any seat we distribute.

If you need multiple car seats inspected or have multiple cars, a 45-minute appointment should be scheduled for each car seat or each car.

If you require a car seat to be provided by our Safe Kids program, please specify the age, height, and weight of your child in the Special Request section of the booking form.

You must bring your child with you to the inspection so we can ensure you have or obtain the correct child safety seat, ensure the proper fit of the child in the seat and adjust the harness level. (Pregnant moms are exempt from this requirement.) To safely transport your child to our inspection sites, you may have to borrow a child safety seat from a friend or relative if you do not have one.

***Bring the instruction manuals for the vehicle AND the child safety seat(s), if possible.

Appointments are necessary to meet with a technician and are available on the following days and locations in Cherokee County:

Woodstock Fire Station #14 located at 225 Arnold Mill Rd, Woodstock, GA 30188
Please park in the front and enter through the office. During inclement weather days, you may be asked to pull your vehicle into the fire bay.

Tuesdays 9:00am until 12:00pm
Cherokee County Administration Office located at 1130 Bluffs Parkway, Canton, GA 30114
Please park in front of the building near the bicycle rack. You must come inside and let us know you have arrived.

Thursdays 2:00pm until 5:00pm
